Chicago Pipe Carving Seminar
Was fortunate to attend the Pipe making seminar on Wedn/Thur before the show. Anybody that smokes a pipe should make it a goal to get to next years class. The cost? Nothing, it was FREE! Well, you do pay for the briar kits you use to make your pipe(s). Like the commercial..., the experience was priceless.

Brian Ruthenberg, Jaden Hewlen, from Hewlen Pipes in Hawaii, Ed Jurkiewicz and Jeff Gracik, were there on Wedn to get us all started. On Thursday Alex Florov and Larry Faulkner came with some pipe kits with bamboo shanks. More assistance was added by Peter Heeschen, Teddy Knudsen, Pierre Mueller, Rad Davis, and others. I apologize for missing some names. It was hard to meet everyone while still trying to get a pipe made. Everyone, of the above mentioned, offered words of support and encouragement. My special thanks to Brian who took pity on me and offered some much needed assistance.
