Hello friends.
A brief but hearty hello from the land of Vikings! I am a member of (and webmaster for) the Roskilde Pipe Club. Our club is the largest in Denmark, located just to the south of Copenhagen.
We have an English version of our website, you may visit us here. http://roskildepibeklub.dk/english.htm.
I have travelled a lot in Greece, having visited Athens, Crete, Lesbos (more than once!) and Zakynthos. I do not recall seeing many pipe smokers. It is encouraging to see your site. I shall be more observant in my future travels to your wonderful country.

Welcome Exile. Next time you will visit Athens we have to meet, smoke, eat and drink like we do here.
I have been in Copenhagen in 1999 for only 3 days. Very nice city.

Alas while about 45% of the population here are smokers, only a miniscule percent are pipe smokers and smoking a pipe in public is a rare sight these days...

I am glad that you like our country. It's true that you can not see many pipe smokers in Greece unless you come to our monthly club meetings .
