Κατοικεί στο βόρειο τμήμα της Δανίας στην Xερσόνησο της Γιουτλάνδης.
Ο πατέρας του ήταν σιδεράς και ο γιος του έμαθε την αξία της ακρίβειας.Μέχρι σημέρα ο Carsten είναι καθηγητής μαθηματικών που
διδάσκει και ξύλο-εργασίες.Ο Carsten ξεκίνησε την κατασκευή καπνοσυρίγγων το 2001 και χρησιμοποιεί μόνο ρείκι Κορσικής .
